My research work focuses on two main areas:
1) Analyze the psychological adaptation processes of athletes to stressful situations
The objective is to understand the influence of these adaptation processes on psychological and physiological states influencing performance and well-being as well as their dynamics at different time scales (e.g. competitive match, sports season)
2) Conceptualization and evaluation of psychological support protocols to improve the adaptation of athletes in order to optimize their performance and well-being
These interventions are part of an integrative approach and with the use of new technologies (e.g. telepsychology).
